What is candle sand?

Candle sand, as the name suggests, is a granular substance that resembles fine sand, but is made from vegetable wax, such as soy or rapeseed wax. The big difference with traditional candles is that you don’t have to melt and pour candle sand into a mold. Instead, you simply pour the sand into a container or dish and light the wick.
